Should I Report This Bug?

Postby EarlyBlake » Fri Jul 11, 2008 9:07 pm

I looked at the page for reporting bugs and they look over loaded. And I don't have too much information on the bug. It's repeatable.

The bug crash inkscape. It happens when:
I double clicked the :tool_pen: to get the preference menu (or shift ctrP). Whenever I click on the black line that represents the current stroke selection inkscape gives the error message you see above. I'm running inkscape on Windows Vista Home Premium. I guess the curse disappeared when inkscape crashed. It should be sitting by where it says stroke 000000/1 in the little black box.

If its a repeatable bug then yes, we want to know about it. This is especially true for crashes. Just do a search in the tracker first to see if its already in there.

Don't worry about that - it's still a good idea to report any new bugs you find.

This particular one has already been reported though: bug 236435 "Crash in Fill/Stroke in Inkscape Preferences".

Thank for the info. I ran into another obscure bug and decided to jump in and report it. Lets see how many duplicates it has when it gets checked tomorrow.
