I created an image in 0.45 that used a bitmap located on my desktop. Eventually I got tired of my desktop being cluttered so I moved the image to a more suitable folder. I then went into the inkscape file and tried to use the xml editor to change the location of the bitmap source. I changed every instance of the file location I could find. This doesn't seem to work as I still get the red x with the "linked image not found" message. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks.
edited to add: I fixed the problem by opening the file with notepad and replacing all the image location tags and saving it. I'm not sure why that worked but using inkscape's native xml editor didn't.
[solved] changing source img location
Re: changing source img location
hello,
you can try : right click on your image, select image property and in the popup you can change the url for thre new one ... think was better and fast than editing the svg ...
