Radial Gradient - not right angle - bug?

Postby Kjohrf » Wed Oct 21, 2009 6:52 am

I'm applying a radial gradient to a bezier curve object. As I move the end nodes of the gradient around
(the L shape on top of the object), after a bit of stretching and rotating, the radial gradient indicator
is no longer a right-angle L. It's a more open shape - maybe 120 degrees instead of 90 degrees.

Is this a bug or a feature that I don't know about? How do I get it back to a right angle?

PS GRRR - the confirmation codes on here are impossible to get right!!!

Unless you mean what happens when you drag the centre of a radial gradient while holding down shift to produce an off-centre radial gradient, it is probably a bug.

When you save and re-open the file, are the handles still 120 degrees apart? If they are then the best way for us to investigate it is to upload a sample file to the bug tracker (https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/, put a link to it here as well ;-)

It does remain when I re-open the file, but with a 0.47 dev build I don't think I see the same problem, so it may have been fixed already.
