Saving an Image - size specific

Postby Lucidfx » Thu Jun 27, 2019 4:09 pm

Hey Guys

I am new to Inkscape and i get most stuff right BUT when i save an image it saves the WHOLE gpage i.e. if it is A4 and the pic is 40mm x 40mm it saves the WHOLE A4 age as a pic.

How do i save that it is ONLY the picture and not the whole work space.

Tnx

Hi.
There´s an explicit dialog for exporting different things like page, drawing, selection, user defined:
ExportSelection.jpg
ExportSelection.jpg (58.67 KiB) Viewed 1559 times

Hope this helps.

Cheers

The thing in the red square is 'Selection' in English. Select what you need to export, and select to export only the selection by choosing the correct tab in the export dialog. The shortcut to open the dialog which is depicted is the one on a Mac, on Windows/Linux, it's Ctrl+Shift+E.
