Delete part of broken path

Postby tays01s » Sat May 17, 2014 3:51 pm

How do I break a path so that each part becomes a separate object?

Detailed: I'm making the components of a time-lapse film so need to repeat slightly differing 'images'. In these I have 2 paths, 1 a duplicate on top of another. I want to shorten/length both independently. Sometimes I can just shorten a path by deleting segments, but sometimes I'd like to remove half the path (several segments) in 1 go. I thought breaking the path would do this but the remains parts still appear to be a single object so if I delete 1, all of it disappears.

Found the answer: Choose the nodes either side of the break point, break apart, delete the bit you don't require.
