I have attatched a file, as an example.
I would like to fill in dark blue the space between the two lines that are drawn in the graph. How can it be possible to achieve it?
I have tried unifying both objects and clicking a random color in the colour bar which is displayed below the Inkscape GUI.
Thanks in advance
Mario

Re: Fill with colour between two lines in a graphic
In order to fill an area properly you need define an area which should be filled, i.e. usually a properly closed path. Just two lines is not enough. How should the program know which side to fill?
Have a look at paths in the manual.
You need to connect your curves at the begin and at the end.

Perfect. I just selected the extreme left nodes of the two lines and created a new segment among them. The same in the extreme right nodes. In this way I created an area which was able to be filled.

Inkscape can also fill single lines, it will try to close the path itself. But the outcome is sometimes not what you actually want.
Just as a side comment:
if you think about plotting data you might also consider gnuplot. Besides many formats it also has a SVG output terminal.
