I'm not clear on the status of pressure sensitivity on Macs, but a Google search turned up this page - http://clearcove.ca/blog/2008/12/tablet ... -inkscape/
Re: need help my Wacom Bamboo MTE 450
Hi all,
a few weeks ago i started to use inkscape and i must say i was very very enthousiastic .
i am used to illustrator, but the thing is that the anchor-points are so very small in illustrator
anyway i bumped into inkscape...and fell in love with these big easy to edit anchor-points...lovely;-)
what a great program btw.
but then i bought also a wacom bamboo mte 450 tablet a few days ago
(was working before with a wacom volito tablet), and now the fun seems over.
i can hardly get the tablet to work in inkscape.
the cursor seems to freeze every 5 minutes, very annoying of course.
i installed the last drivers etc. but nothing seems to help.
well i hope this problem will be solved in the future.
for now i have to go back to the tiny anchor-points in illustrator...brrr...
If someone solved this problem ...i ofcourse like to hear.
i already tried to change all kind of things within inkscape option to set the tablet.
but it doesn't seem to help.
greetings corien klapwijk

Hello group,
I was directed to this forum (after I posted a problem in another group so I joined this forum)
Maybe you can help.
I recently started working with Vista, Inkscape and a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet. I installed the latest drivers for the tablet but now and than the tablet freezes in Inkscape.
What version of Inkscape works fine with the tablet and where can I get this?
Thank you for your time

freezing tablet pen
hi Wilma,
i had the same problem working in vista with my bamboo tablet,
but i installed a version of inkscape(in development)
download:
http://inkscape.modevia.com/win32/?M=D
and the freezing problem was gone.
so maybe you could give this a try?
good luck!

Re: need help my Wacom Bamboo MTE 450
Thank you for your quick respons.
May I ask which version it is that I need on that page?
The most recent one with .7z at the end is dated 09-March-2009. Is that the one?
Or is it the inkscape-0.46.win32.7z-file dated 07-May-2008?
