Hello there !
I'm just trying to get some answers here, about color rendering when you put CMYK values on it's tab. I didn't feel like posting a bug or feature request before getting some opinions here, because I didn't see any about it, and because I reckon it's something obvious, maybe it's perfectly justified.
Still, I find very problematic that we can't have the right color when using CMYK, though RGB works fine. I know Inkscape is not (yet) fitted for printing, but still, because we have the option, the tab, why not the same rendering as Scribus ? So far, I have to import any work destined to print and correct colors with Scribus...
Is it an option I didn't see in the program ? Is it just a matter of models, and we can't do much about it ? (but in that case, why is Scribus right ?) Is it a bug that can be easily corrected ?
I'm kind of confused with that... And I really like this software, is it not realistic to wish it would provide the same results as it's proprietary equivalent ?
Thanks in advance for any reply, I'm looking forward to read any opinion about that.

Re: wrong colors in CMYK
Hi djiock,
Welcome to InkscapeForum!
The CMYK color options in Inkscape, that are found in the Fill and Stroke dialog, and other color options, are strictly for use in coloring objects, paths or background. They are not related to the CMYK printing model.
