Hello All,
I am concerned with SVG files only because a program I am using to generate random shapes (not programmed by me) produces SVG files.
I want to convert these to a bitmap, which Inkscape does, however, every image I export has a black border around it.
I do not want this black border.
I am sure there is a simple setting somewhere...I have not been able to find it.
Thanks in advance and sorry in advance for such a simple question
Exporting to Bitmap form without a border
Re: Exporting to Bitmap form without a border
If you have a border in the exported png file it means you have an object in svg that is that border. Delete that object and export again, or select everything but the border object and export selection.
just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt

Re: Exporting to Bitmap form without a border
Your image viewer probably doesn't handle transparency correctly. Try dragging the PNG into Firefox, Opera or Chrome.
If you want to get rid of the transparency... click on the top right icon (document properties)->Page->General->Background... click on that thing and set the alpha channel to 255. Export again and it's fully opaque.
