My first post here so I introduce myself. I'm a man, I'm 40 ans I leave in France near Bourges (in the centre). I've been using Ubuntu since 2007 and Inkscape for about three years.
I worked during 4 years as a graphic designer in a small silkscreen printing workshop and I'm now jobless. We worked with Adobe CS2 but I showed to my workmate that Inkscape can do a great job with its bitmap vectorizing tool. I also installed GIMP on my job computer because it avoided the boss to have to buy another Adobe licence. Despite all this, it seems I coasted him too much

For a year or so I've been implied in the making of the web comic the Grey (http://www.peppertop.com/greys/) as a translator to French. I've sometimes to tweak the graphics a bit in order to make it "frenchier", and I occasionally add an Easter Egg of my own. It's great fun and it allows me to improve both my English and Inkscape's skills.
I read much, sci-fi, crime novels, but classic literature and history too (a recent interest). I'm fond of music, particularly jazz and English seventies' Rock (The Who, The Beatles, Caravan, Soft Machine, Yes... ) I play (a bit) the bass guitar.
