Hello. I am trying to use DFT feature, but all circles are created at the distance from original object and have odd outline style.
DFT will work ONLY if the document size was not changed (1), if else will not (2).
Odd outline style means that it's outline mode is "?" and not matched to original trianlge's style.
What I am doing wrong?
draw from triangle issue

Hello,
I don't know what you mean with "DFT feature".
Are you using an extension? which one?
Thanks for posting the screenshots, but I think that your explanation is poor.
Could you post (attach) an svg file?
About odd outline, I guess you are NOT using the fill and stroke dialog (shift + ctrl + f). Just select the path and change the stroke style fron "?" to "Flat Color". If you can't see the stroke of the shape, change the display mode pressing ctrl + 5 repeatedly until you see only Outlines.
Please post your results here
If you have problems:
1.- Post a sample (or samples) of your file please.

Re: draw from triangle issue
I guess that DFT stands for draw from triangle extension, available in the pre 0.91 release.

well... I'm not a magician !

I still don't understand the first part. Where does He want the circles be drawn?
About the stroke style... It appears that the extension creates the circles inside a group. To change the style of the shapes, Ungroup (Shift + Ctrl + G ) or enter into the group (double click) Th instructions are the same that in my first post. Also check the bottom bar where information messages appears.
About changing the size of page. I don't see any problems in my 0.91 version. Maybe because you have transforemed the path (moved, scaled or rotated)?

Yes. DFT is Draw From Triangle as in topic title.

Circles must be drawn over the original triangle, at certain position (circumscribed, etc...). There is only one position for circumscribed circle for the triangle.
available in the pre 0.91 release.
I have Inkscape 0.48.4 r9939

What I was doing on the screenshot:
1) open inkscape > draw triangle > apply filter
2) change page orientation to album > draw second triangle > apply filter
Also I will try to update to pre-release version, maybe it is fixed there.
Re: draw from triangle issue
Oh yes, it is fixed in new version. Sorry that I did not checked for the new version.
Re: draw from triangle issue
I think that all the issues are solved now.
But please try to use the correct terms.
You are using an Extension not a Filter
You were right about the extension's bug in 0.48. At the end the best solution is install the 0.91, at least for now.
