Hi. I am new to this Forum. I use a Valiani CMC that uses PLT files for its cutting data.
I am fully conversant with the Vector Graphics side of CorelDraw x4 yet would like to use Inkscape for designs as it is not as bloated.
However with the latest inkscape, I cannot load a CorelDraw PLT file. I get the following errors
UniConvertor failed:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
File "C:\Program Files\Inkscape\python\lib\site-packages\uniconvertor\__init__.py", line 72, in <module>

return load_drawing_from_file(file, filename)

raise SketchLoadError(_("unrecognised file type"))
app.events.skexceptions.SketchLoadError: unrecognised file type
Furthermore when I have a design and use the Save As .... Test.PLT I get the following errors
UniConvertor failed:
ERROR: unrecognized extension .plt
Is it something I am missing or is Inkscape not ready for PLT's yet
Thanks in anticipation
PLT extensions
Re: PLT extensions
The version of UniConvertor that is bundled with Inkscape 0.47 on Windows platforms and used for the *.plt export extension, does not yet support PLT files. You could either export to (aka "Save a Copy as") HPGL (the file format is the same) or try the recently released UniConvertor 1.1.5 (not tested myself).
