so I've done a logo and I'm trying to save it in PNG, but doing so seems to mess things up a bit, some stuff get distorted or just get cut off. I also see that depending on the resolution I save it as, it can fix or mess other things up. Anyway I've tried plenty of different resolutions and I just can't get a good copy without flaws.
here's a picture showing my problem:

Re: 0.47, export bitmap problem
I'm going to hazard a guess that the reason Inkscape is generating these artifacts on your output is because the shapes within this graphic are not fitting exactly on a pixel grid. In other words, the corners and edges of your shapes sit at positions like x=143.2, y=76.8, instead of x=143, y=77.
The good news is there's something that can be done. Have a look at this thread and the link out to bryhoyt's extension. It worked on my PNG rollover images which were being rendered fuzzy in web browsers. Cleaned them up nicely.

This looks like bug 189214. You could try adding extra nodes at the places that are causing a problem, as suggested in that bug report. Or generate the bitmap with Batik rather than Inkscape.
Re: 0.47, export bitmap problem
Thanks for the replies, appreciated
Well, since different resolutions gave me different problems, I saved two copies both with their own flaws (one copy had 1 flaw the other, 2), opened both of them in photoshop, put the same resolution and dimensions for each and took the good part of one and pasted it to the other. Finally got a good version like that.
But ya, I'm gonna check the solutions you guys suggested. I'd really like to fix this problem.

Ok I finally tested adding extra nodes and that seems to work, woohoo!
