inkscape 0.48 - 0.91 question

does 0.91 piggyback off of 0.48.4 or can I uninstall 0.48.4? thanks

I uninstall (in winxp) but retain preferences.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

You can uninstall 0.48x if you don't use it anymore.

If you don't uninstall it though, be sure to install 0.91 in a different directory (folder).

Yes, even if you uninstall the previous version, the next new version you install will use the same preferences. Apparently the preferences.xml file isn't removed during uninstallation.
