I need help covering up part of a line

Postby anthonyj999 » Wed Jul 29, 2015 11:39 pm

Hi.

I have a number sitting on a line but I don't want the line to be present under the number - if this makes sense. I want my outline to be straight until it gets to the number and then take on the shape of the edge of the number and then continue straight again, before it gets to the number. Short of creating a rectangle that I fill in white and positioning this over the line I have no idea if what I want is possible. Can anyone help me?

I attach a copy to show what it looks like doing it how I am currently doing it. This is a very slow approach and creates slight imperfections in the lines as you can see.

Thanks - Anthony.

Just place a rectangle over the base of your numbers, so that it slightly overlaps and then perform a Boolean Operation: Union.
