so... I´ve trying to use Inkscape for a while now, but I'm a little slow at learning new softwares and also I'm a little stupid with vector editors.
Anyways, I've been experiencing a few strange things so I reinstalled it a few times and nothing happened, but whatever there is no bigger issues more than taking like 5 minutes to open and a few graphics error like this:

This happen every time i press space and move the mouse, and believe me I have a good graphic card and my drivers are ok. I can live with it tho.
Now, the thing that's REALLY bothering right now is this...
i just have to export some text with transparent background, simple right? Just export the image as a .png image... right? NO!
1- This is what the file made in inkscape shows:

2-This is how the file looks when exported in .png with trnsparency:

3- And when I try to "save as" .png:
http://orig06.deviantart.net/c9f2/f/201 ... at7kdz.jpg
IT WORKS!

no transparency tho...
please help! what is goin' on!?!
WHAT IS DIS HAPPENING!?
Re: WHAT IS DIS HAPPENING!?
Hi.
That's extreme ghosting on the first image.
Probably you had drawn outside a (-80000 px; +80000 px) area of the x and y coordinate values.
Click on the "this bug affects me" button in the bug tracker:
extreme ghosting bug.
I'm not familiar with that text tool bug though.

Re: WHAT IS DIS HAPPENING!?
It doesn't makes any sense, that happens in every new file I make drawn on it or not.
Re: WHAT IS DIS HAPPENING!?
The cut off text is a problem with the font (together with Inkscape). You can work around it by turning the text to path (Path -> Object to Path). Make a copy first, because after the operation, you can no longer edit the text as text. It's a known bug, too.
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!

Re: WHAT IS DIS HAPPENING!?
Oh, I've seen that a lot with text! And that's when drawing inside a4 page border -- nothing extreme. For me, it seems to happen more in large file, but it can happen in very small files too. Also, it seems like certain fonts are more susceptible (prone to the problem). Usually if I scroll the text off the screen and scroll back, it's restored to normal.
I never have reported it, because it never has been so bad that I can't work around it. But for me, it's limited to text. I have not seen this problem with regular paths or shapes. Maybe this is a separate problem than that particular bug?
And converting text to path (Path menu > Object to Path) completely resolves the problem. Of course you can only do that after you have finished editing the text. If you think you might ever need to edit the text in the future, be sure to save the text "as text" somewhere in the file (outside the page border, or in a hidden layer).
