The stem and leaf part, no problems. The Text slanting \ tilting away proving troublesome.
I've tried creating a circle and using Text to path, but cant work out how to get the perspective look. Any suggestions on methods?

Hi.
Group the text (Ctrl+G) and resize&skew/rotate the group.
That way you can preserve the text and edit it later.

I used the Perspective LPE from the devel, because when i used the Perspective Extension, it rotate and shrank my circle text.

Espermaschine, they look great.
I'm still working on how to get something similar using the options Lazur URH suggested, just as a learning thing.
I did try and use the 0.91 Dev version last night, but couldn't see the Perspective LPE under the path Extensions menu, just Perspective. I'll have another look when I finish work.

Its Path -> Path Effects -> Perspective/Envelope (Inkscape 0.91+devel_64bit r14690)

Ta, I'll try again later. Here's my current effort using the Perspective extension, the three line and a bit of tweeking with Screw, Rotate and Scale

It looks like the perspective is the wrong way. Things should get smaller in the distance.
Also i would recommend reducing the opacity of the dropshadow.
