How to connect two lines to a quadrilateral (a triangle with 4 angles - quadrangle)?

select those 2 lines and choose Path > Combine
Select node tool
with the node tool select the 2 nodes you want to connect
On the Node toolbar choose the option "Join selected endnodes with a new segment"
do the same for the other 2 nodes

On the Node toolbar choose the option "Join selected endnodes with a new segment"
do the same for the other 2 nodes
just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt
