I'm trying to design something for my brother.. a master sergeant in the air force.. and I'm stuck in one spot here..

He gave me an image to go off of, but I'm having a hard time getting the hat the way I want it. I'm very new at all of this, but I'm trying to make the path's cutter friendly. I will be cutting this design out of vinyl when it's finished so i don't want a bunch of criss crossing paths... if that makes sense.

Anyway, on the hat, I'd like to have the hat on the dog's head, but leave the dogs left ear exposed, much like the jpg attached in the file.
Any advice or help is more than appreciated! Thanks! Adam
