Hi,
I'd like to create a radial displacement of scaled dots.
I created a simple circle, then did and Edit > Clone > Tiled Clones - to make a column of 15 dots with each clone -5% smaller than the original:
I then group them and apply a radial displacement following the instructions in the very first section here:

Solved - Setting the Centre for Radial Displacement
Re: Setting the Centre for Radial Displacement
Nevermind, worked out to duplicate and flip, though aligning the 2 small dots was tricky, but I got it to work.
Please delete thread if necessary etc. Cheers.

you can also mover the center of rotation. When you click on the group a second time the handles turn to the rotation handles, there should be a small x shape in the middle which is the center of ration. Move this, and the tiled clones dialogue takes it into account (rotating it around this point).

Thanks for the extra info, will remember that!

This is the approach I've used for similar things in the past. You might find it easier to enable snapping, specifically the "Snap from and to centres of objects" button on the snapping toolbar. Now when you drag the copy close to the original it will snap into place with perfect alignment.
