how do you stop the bleeding?

Postby torvic resflo » Thu Dec 24, 2009 11:53 am

i made a circle like the moon, and i put a shadow on it, on the bottom, like a cresent.
the crescent is black and i blurred it. the blur bleeds.
how do i get rid of the bleed?
a- dup the circle and then object/clip/set?
b- make a white rectangle, poke a hole on it, the size of the moon, then lay it on top of the moon?

i wanted to take the bleed and try to do a difference vs some other shape, but i had no luck doing this.

how do you do it? :?:

a. clip
is probably the best move. Although that's a very creative and interesting option that you described, about the hole in a rectangle. It would work, but then the rest of your drawing would technically be on the triangle....which I suppose is not necessarily a bad thing. Of course if you have anything else on the canvase besides the moon, when you apply the rectange, it would be covered up by the rectangle.
