My computer too slow need help exporting
Re: My computer too slow need help exporting
Did you try to export two halfs of the banner, and stich them together in gimp?
3000 x 600 pixel doesn't seems too big.

Hi Lazur URH.
I reckon your calculation is a "little" off. - ( By more than one pixel!! )
1' = 1 feet = 12 inches.
1" = 1 inch.
The OP might want to make a banner of 20 feet by 2 feet.
This would translate into 20 x 12 x 300 by 2 x 12 x 300 = 72000 x 7200 pixels.

Oh sorry about that.
In that case, that banner won't load to photoshop.
72000 melts the "artist's device"...

Re: My computer too slow need help exporting
Why?
There should be a better workaround for creating cmyk pdf-s.
Have you searched the scribus and the xara workaround?
Or the cmyk inkscape plugin?
If I remember right you don't have to export your svg to bitmap.
That would reduce the file size dramatically, and won't get your image messed up from jpeg compressing into pdf.

Re: My computer too slow need help exporting
Thank you the cmyk plug in is for linux only... : /
Re: My computer too slow need help exporting
Still you can run linux on win easier than handle a raster image of that size in my opinion.
Re: My computer too slow need help exporting
Have you tried imagemagick command line converter? Sure beats opening a huge file for display, just so you can save in another format.
Re: My computer too slow need help exporting
Thank you guys got it handled. Someone messaged me saying they'll do it(THANK YOU) although the banner printer said he made a mistake and only needs 100 DPI !@#$%^& so my system can handle that one.
Thanks again!
