I am having a problem with inkscape making my path much smaller than the bitmap that was traced. What I am trying to go is go from a .jpeg that is about 6" high and 7.7" wide to the gcode to laser it onto a 13 1/2" high by 16 1/2" wide panel for a cabinet door.
I am using Inkscape .92.4 on Ubuntu 18.04 and the J Tech Laser Tool extension which calls gcodetools.
My steps are to set Document Properties to 16.5 w and 13.5 h, import my jpeg, scale it to fit the panel, trace bitmap with brightness cutoff and delete the original jpg leaving just the trace. The trace shows as the same size as the original scaled up bitmap. I then do an Object to Path. When I use the J Tech Photonics Laser Tool plugin I get gcode that is less than 5" wide and the tool is adding text indicating 0, 0, 0 and 5, 0, 0.
How do I get the gcode to generate the full size path? I suspect there is some size limit setting that I am missing.

Not sure if it is that but it could be. I was staying in Inkscape and generating gcode. I think the problem is the way the J Tech laser extension is handling inches. I went wading through the python and they are applying a scaling factor when in inches so I decided to try it in metric. I did everything in metric and the gcode came out correctly.
