in inkscape i went to configure input devices and set my tablet to screen
and put the pressure as option 1 (x-axis) apposed to 3 (pressure)
this moved the brush(not cursor) on the x axis indicating that the pressure works!!!\
so i set it back to X axis 1 and pressure 3 mode>: screen
BUT there is no ink coming out in screen mode

Got no solution to your problem but a similar one myself: my Wacom tablet has worked just fine with Inkscape but all of a sudden the prog refuses to 'see' an input device.
Anyone with a suggestion how to fix it? Thanks.

Do you have the same problem in GIMP?

I found that the latest Wacom drivers (6.1.0-5(RC)) stopped pressure from working in both Inkscape and GIMP. Had go back to version 6.08-4a

Errr.. guess I'm lazy, still got version 5.something. It's ok in other paint apps including the gimp.
But as suddenly as it stopped, it started working again on a new Inkscape launch.
