Kind of Voronoi effect ?

Kind of Voronoi effect ?

I don't think there is an automatic way to get this effect (assuming you are starting with a photographic source) but you could do a trace bitmap with a few colours only and then select all and convert all curves to line segments (node tool). This will give you a geometric look. Flatten beziers and straighten segments (extensions menu) are also useful. Then you can start simplifying and moving nodes to snap to each other until you end up with triangles ....
This might just be a problem that is easier to do manually, using the bez tool in straight line mode and the dropper tool to select fill colors.

Or the GIMP has a...can't remember if it's called a filter or effect. But it's called Mosaic. It doesn't produce triangles like in your example, but it will do something quite similar. Unfortunately, GIMP is not Inkscape, so if it has to be vector or SVG, I was thinking like druban.

That really is a nice effect though!

Inkscape 0.48. Extensions > Generate from Path > Voronoi Pattern.
