Black Background on Printing

Postby 01TNT01 » Sun Dec 18, 2016 4:38 am

Hi there,
I'm a new user. I draw a circle and it prints with a black rectangular background. How do I get rid of the background? I've attached a sample file, it does it with all new files I create. Thank-you.

There is a known printing bug in Inkscape 0.91 64 bit on Windows, which is related to transparencies being used in the drawing.

You can fix this by:

- exporting to PNG or PDF, then print that image from another program
- putting a white rectangle at the bottom of your drawing, which is at least as big as your drawing
- eliminating all transparencies in your drawing (no blur, no opacity < 100%, no alpha < 100%)
- using Inkscape 0.91 32bit version
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
