Golf Ball Tutorial
Re: Golf Ball Tutorial
I have this feeling of déjà vu.
The easiest way is to model it in blender, then export it as an obj, put it into the /inkscape/shaer/extensions/3Dpolyobjects folder,
then run the render polyhedron extension and choose the file.
Tried to model it in a similar direction to that tutorial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL9tChb8lfo
Here is an obj that was made in minutes:
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/tjq6mvwqpnzsc5g/g1.obj
After the extension is run, and double nodes removed,
if the nodes are all set to smooth ones, you will get a nice base pattern of a golf ball hopefully.
(Didn't check it yet, but theoretically it should work.)
Good luck!
