seems that inkscape isn't able to work decent under win10.
the program takes more than 10 minutes to load, 5 to 10 minutes to respond after a mouseclick.

it isn't the only program that runs that bad in win10, so not shure it's inkscape itself or the interaction with win10

Win10 has been out for testing since Oct -2014. Get your copy here; Win10
If you want test Win10 I suggest you install it as a virtual machine using Oracle's Virtualbox.
You can then run Win10 as a "guest" operating system on your winX (or Linux - Unix - OSX) system without any risks to your existing setup.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the info, Ragnar. I'm not that interested in Windows development. It's just I thought the current version is only 8, so why would we know anything about 10!
