Hello,
Starting from one picture (jpg), I have transform it into indexed 5 colour picture within gimp, and register one picture by color.
Then I have open the 5 pictures within Inkscape, and trace the 5 bitmap independently. See attached file yarnball.svg
The problem is the area superposition : some area are up to others and hide, but paths are still existing behind. Do you know an automatic way to reduce paths only to it visible area ?
Thank

Re: Path superposition
Welcome to InkscapeForum!
You can probably use some path operations to do this. Sometimes you'll have to duplicate a path before doing the operation, because sometimes the operation sort consumes it. Look in the manual for Path Operations http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... ining.html. I can show you what I mean, if you can't sort it out from the manual.

Re: Path superposition
Thanks I have already try path operations (duplication difference opacity to see by transparency and so on) I was just expecting an more automatic way )
Re: Path superposition
There's no automatic way that I can think of. Although there's a very tiny bell ringing in my head.....I just can't bring it into focus. Maybe someone else will know, and I'll be reminded. (oooh my old brain!) And you'll learn it
