Is this a new bug, paths not on a layer?

Is this a new bug, paths not on a layer?

What layer are the paths on? None that I can see.

(FWIW this image is being cropped for your protection, but you can see the important parts.)

They are on the "root" layer which doesn't get displayed in layers palette. You can confirm this by selecting the objects and the layer selection at the bottom of the main Inkscape window will say "root". The stack order of these objects could be above all other layers or below them. It's not really a bug.

Ahh, thanks. It may not be a "bug" but it's sure not a feature.
