After over a year of intensive development and refactoring, the Inkscape Community is proud to announce that Inkscape 0.47 is out!

This version of the SVG-based vector graphics editor brings improved performance and tons of new features, some of which are as follows: Timed autosave, Spiro splines, Auto-smooth nodes, Eraser tool, New modes in Tweak tool, Snapping toolbar & greater snapping abilities, New Live Path Effects (including Envelope), A huge collection of preset filters, New cairo-based PS and EPS export, Spell checker, Many new extensions, Optimized SVG code options, and much more. Additionally, it would be wrong to not mention the hundreds of bug fixes as well. Check out the full release notes for more information about what has changed, enjoy the screenshots, or just jump right to downloading your package for Windows, Linux or Mac OS X.

When I want to download inkscape 0.47 directly from inkscape.org
"Latest stable version: 0.47 Download now!"
I will download version O.47-3.exe. Is it correct stable version? Or is another stable version 0.47.exe (without number 3)?

How many people work to developp it ?

I've been using some of the pre-release v0.47 versions, and just downloaded and installed the final, stable package. I wanted to add my thanks and appreciation to the dev team for what is a really outstanding piece of work. I've just finished designing a website using graphics sliced from Inkscape and it was a wonderful process - easy to use, fast, intuitive, and with great features like Spiro which produce wonderful shapes and geometry. It's a joy to use, and the amount of thought and planning that's gone into the last year of work has really paid off. Thank you, and well done.

Now if someone could perfect the CMYK colour space model and exports for print work ...
