I discover a little bit a printing dialog in InkScape 0.48.5.
There is group of buttons with title: "Page range". There you can select "printing all pages" or select the printing range of pages in active file.
But..... The InkScape SVG file can have just one page.
Then I try this.....
I open 3 SVG files, and then command to print "all pages".
And I get printed only one page from active file. Of course.
Then I try and set in print dialog pages range "2-3".
And I get printed only one page from active file. Again.

Then I ask myself. What actually work here, this option (selecting multiple pages for print)? But I don't know the answer.

Ok, this is not any kind of technical answer. But what I've noticed, is that no matter which program I have, that I want to print from (for example, word processor, or browser, or Inkscape) a very similar dialog shows up when I choose Print. My best guess is that Inkscape calls on whatever is the default printing dialog for the computer where Inkscape is installed (which I guess depends on the printing software that's installed). It doesn't know that Inkscape doesn't have multiple pages (native).

I don't think Inkscape has any printing capabilities of its own yet. I think it can only use whatever printer software is installed on that computer.
