Hi Everyone,

I'm new on Inkscape so my need is pretty basic but i can't figure it out right now and it ***** me off

Here we are :

The font of my picture is a color gradient.
I have shapes (curves lines) on top and I have another shape with a white font.

I want my curves lines on the top of the (font + the white shape)
I want my curves lines with the colors of the gradient font beneath them.
I guess it with the cutting tool but like i said, i did not succeed.

I hope that I will be understood.

The first tutorial in the Inkscape help menu covers color, shapes and z-order (foreground/background).

The Inkscape manual in the Help menu has a section on clipping, to restrict objects and groups by another shape.
