Maybe you accidentally saved in the wrong folder?

What confused me a lot in the beginning is that in the PNG export dialog you have a button "export as", and a second button "export".
The "export as" button only selects the filename and folder, but does not export.
Only after clicking the second button in the PNG export dialog that says "export", is the file generated.

I don't know why they renamed that button "Export As". I don't remember what it used to be. But this dialog can only export as PNG, so it doesn't really make sense.

I think it should say File Path.

Or maybe the "Export As" button should say "Select"?
(The only problem with renaming stuff is that afterwards tutorials don't coincide any more...)

In Inkscape 0.48 and earlier versions, the button was labelled "Browse ..." (changed in Inkscape 0.91 to "Save as..." based on request filed in the bug tracker).

That was changed upon the request of 1 person???? :o

I thought bugs/feature requests were fixed based on how many people ask for it.

Is that report author some famous person? Or otherwise how did this feature request make it to the top of the list of priorities?? :o

I think should go back to Browse!!

Can we file a new report to change it back? Or otherwise, what it the proper way to handle this?

Typo: I think you mean "Export as" instead of "Save as", no?

Actually, maybe the export dialog should just have one button, that says "Export" (remove the "filename" field and the "export as" button). When you click on it, the same dialog opens that opens now with "Export as" (defaulting to the already chosen filename if one has been chosen previously). The "save" button in that dialog does the export and voila. No? Keep it simple and less is more and all that stuff?
