Problems Inskape and Signcutter
Re: Problems Inskape and Signcutter
I think we will need more information before we can try to answer your question.
- First, are you exporting from Inkscape or SignCut when you get the error? Or iow, where does the error message come from?
- Does the "No such file or directory" refer to the file you are trying to export or the directory to which you want to export the file? Are you sure you typed it properly? (sorry, just being thorough) Also, once in a while I rename or move a file that I'm working on, and when I try to save or export or whatever, I get an error similar to that. However, I use Windows, so this comparison is like apples and oranges, as they say. But just a thought.
- What kind of file are you exporting (SVG, PNG, JPG, etc.)?
- I'm not clear what kind of plugin you downloaded for signcut, what is its purpose or how it might solve this problem.
- What version of Inkscape? 0.47 or pre0.48dev?
Also, you might want to search the forum for info on using Inkscape on a Mac. There are several long and informative topic/threads, which if don't solve your problem here, might help solve future problems. If I'm not mistaken, one is "pinned" or "sticky" in General Discussions forum. And there are several (probaby many) others.
Also please check the Inkscape and Cutters forum. If I recall, there is at least one message about Signcut, maybe more. Actually I will move this topic there, since it fits that subject area better.
Please let us know if you find the solution in your search; or otherwise if you could clarify the issue by answering my questions. One way or another, I'm sure we can find the solution
