Hi,
I liked inkscape mostly beacuse its calligraphy tools.. But when I import the inkscape file in coreldraw, the overlapped portion of strokes are shown blank.. destroying my calligraphy. I know this is coreldraw problem, but is there any solution for that? because even if I create the epf of same from illustrator, and import that in corel, same thing happens.. I think Inkscape and Illustrator works perfectly.
How to maintain the calligraphy in coreldraw ?
Re: How to maintain the calligraphy in coreldraw ?
I have no idea if this will work, and I don't have either Corel or Illustrator to test with. But in Inkscape there is a setting where you can have an object's Fill to either display a blank space where it overlaps with itself, or not. It doesn't affect separate objects, which.....well, I assume the places where you calligraphy overlaps, are individual calligraphy strokes (not to be confused with the Stroke of an object). Anyway, if your strokes (or letters/characters?) are individual objects, then if they overlap, they will just be on top of each other, no matter whether the Fill is set to display a blank space where they overlap or not. But I'm wondering if the import causes them to become a single object, and if so, maybe this setting matters?
Again, I'm just guessing, but it won't hurt to try this anyway. While in Inkscape, select each calligraphy object....or if there are many, select them all. Then open Object menu > Fill and Stroke > Fill tab. In the upper, right corner of the tab, there are 2 roughly heart-shaped icons/buttons, one has a hole, one doesn't. Click the one without a hole. Now try to import in the other programs.
If this doesn't work, then someone else will have to chime in. Or you may need to consult Corel or Illustrator Help files or forums? But one step at a time, and let us know how it goes

I think it depends on what CorelDraw version you tested.
I had this problem with an older Inkscape version but after 0.47 they work fine in Corel X4.
If you still want to solve your problem you can try to Weld them in CorelDraw.
It will eliminate the empty areas of the overlapping line shapes.
I hope this helps.

Hhmmm....I couldn't see the facebook hosted videos, since I don't have a Fb account. But I saw the YT one. It does not appear to answer the question of the op.
