Hi all,
New here, just got inkscape yesterday. I have been following some tutorials and ran into a problem with using the path difference. Whenever I try to path difference from cloned objects, nothing happens.
I was able to do the path difference normally when I create two objects. but once one object is cloned, I am unable to use the path difference.
Any advice on how to fix this?
not working, path difference after tiled clones
Re: not working, path difference after tiled clones
It's because a clone is not a path. Only paths will work with Difference.
You can "unclone" it. There's a button on the command bar to break the clone's link to its parent. That turns it back into a path, and then it will work with Difference.
