I wanted to use layers to produce a graphic that I can save as a DXF to change into GCode at some point. But as the finished job is a Desk Trophy and in 2 pieces of Acrylic, I wanted to know if I can print each layer separately by shutting the eye of one layer while printing the other layer that's still visible.
Thanks a lot.
Michael.

Re: Printing different layers
Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Re: Printing different layers
Hi
Thanks for the heads up on printing different layers. I have a manual which I purchased from Amazon by 'Bethany Hiltola' and there wasn't a mention in the Layers section about printing individual layers.
Just how many Manuals are there.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Printing different layers
How many...? IDK.
I would use the online linked below for the basics. It is written by a principal developer.
Since Inkscape is open-source, many features are available before complete documentation is available. It can take some time, even never, because developers are not necessarily interested or skilled in technical writing. This is where communities like this one fill a vital role in sharing insights through open conversation, tutorials and resources.

Re: Printing different layers
Hi Tyler,
On my Desktop Cutting Plotter dialogue, Layer export selection and Layer match name are not available. What should I do?
I am using Inkscape 0.48.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Printing different layers
if you please,
I will say first, try to install the new version of Inkscape 0.91.
You are in an Apple system. There are some issues with that. You could search in the forum about.
