Dear forum-members,
Currently I am trying to convert an image (.JPG) into an image with a transparent, but I need some help.
Would please let me know how I can achieve this? (I remember a 'Place' function in Adobe Photoshop, is there something like that in Inkscape?)
Thank you in advance and looking forward to your replies.
Best regards,
Eric

Re: Transparant image convert
If you need it in SVG format, please try this:
1 - Open Inkscape
2 - File menu > Import
3 - Path menu > Trace bitmap (be sure to select 'Remove background')
If you need it to remain JPG, or any other raster format, probably best to use a program like The GIMP.
1 - Open Inkscape
2 - File menu > Import
3 - Path menu > Trace bitmap (be sure to select 'Remove background')
If you need it to remain JPG, or any other raster format, probably best to use a program like The GIMP.
