3D printing using the OpenSCAD cookie cutter add-on

Postby StevenD » Sat Feb 03, 2018 4:41 am

I just had my first 3D print experience thanks to the OpenSCAD cookie cutter add-on by Alexander Pruss. I did the simple outline in Inkscape then saved it as an OpenSCAD file. I checked the file in OpenSCAD, exported it to a .stl file and sent it to my local library Creative Lab to be printed. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to print and cost me $1.00 US. So easy to use. My thanks to Alexander for a vey nice add-on.

Cool :)
I'd love to see this in the website gallery at https://inkscape.org/gallery!

Very cute!

But yikes - I can't hardly get my fingers into that position. My thumb won't turn like that.... Oh, there we go. If I point my fingers outwards, like shooting a pretend gun, it works. But facing my palm towards me, like in the image - awkward.

Hi

Is it just me?
I see this as a dog-head profile where the dog has open mouth and bent ears.
Others see it as a glove?
Good Luck!

I don't think apology is needed. 5 people look at the same cloud formation, and see 5 different things!
