Exciting use of textures!!

Postby showboy1080 » Mon Jan 18, 2010 4:24 pm

I admit, I shouldn't be posting the dark wood without having the exact URL, but here it is. I admit, the nails I drew were too dark, but deal with it. The on button is also not that smooth either, but please deal with it. Perhaps you can learn something.

Hi showboy,

When I click the URL you provided, I am redirected to filedroppers homepage. Something went wrong there I guess?
You sound very enthousiastic about the finished work, and I use Inkscape for texture creation too - so I am very curious :)

Cheers,
Syllie

Sorry, if I disappointed you, but the URL is fixed..now. Also, It wasn't on creating textures, it was on using textures. I made the aluminum with Paint.NET. The wood was from deviant art. If you want to know how to make the texture, here's how:
  • Open Paint.NET
  • Add noise from the Effects (Effects > Add Noise)
  • 0 color saturation and 100 on intensity
  • Add a zoom blur. 100 on zoom amount and nothing else.

Svg is missing pictures, could you make just a png?
I'm just someone who likes to create.
