I admit, I shouldn't be posting the dark wood without having the exact URL, but here it is. I admit, the nails I drew were too dark, but deal with it. The on button is also not that smooth either, but please deal with it. Perhaps you can learn something.

You sound very enthousiastic about the finished work, and I use Inkscape for texture creation too - so I am very curious

Sorry, if I disappointed you, but the URL is fixed..now. Also, It wasn't on creating textures, it was on using textures. I made the aluminum with Paint.NET. The wood was from deviant art. If you want to know how to make the texture, here's how:
- Open Paint.NET
- Add noise from the Effects (Effects > Add Noise)
- 0 color saturation and 100 on intensity
- Add a zoom blur. 100 on zoom amount and nothing else.
