Hello,
I've been using Inkscape for a few months now, and I am constantly impressed with it! And I am always impressed with the creativity of this community.

I'm putting together a textbook for a college class. I'm designing the cover (the textbook will also be the basis for a related Web site and the cover will be worked into the site logo).

I'm trying to create the effect of "roots" growing organically from the words.

Is this possible in Inkscape, or would I need to draw this by hand and scan in?

Has anyone ever done something lke this in Inkscape? I'm open to any ideas.

Wow, thanks for pointing me in that direction. I didn't know about that extension, and would not have found it the way I was searching.

I was playing with it a bit today, and I think it can help me get the effects I need. Pretty powerful extension.
