Inkscape not launching

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble installing Inkscape on OS X 10.10.4. I installed XQuartz as instructed, and then installed inkscape. When I try to run inkscape, nothing happens. The icon in the dock bounces up and down a few times, but I never get to the XQuartz location prompt.

~suv, do you think this should be added to the FAQ? Or is it too soon to be thinking about that? I have to ask because I don't understand much about Mac OS X system. It could be coincidence we had these 4 to 5 different people posting this problem, all in the same week....or could be possibly an Apple update (if I understand what I read). Or maybe it can be fixed relatively quickly?
