Need a surrogate export...

Postby emelio » Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:24 pm

Hello -- I've been having a bitmap export problem, which I've posted about before (http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13130) -- basically the problem is that my export is missing some pieces of the illustration on one hand, and on the other, a black area appears out of nowhere.

I have a two-part question:

1. Would someone be willing to export this illustration for me, like druban did in the thread I linked to above, and post it so I could download it?

-> here's a link to my SVG file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34682473/Comic ... rawing.svg

-> and here's a link to my exported PNG (in one of the text boxes, some of the words are clipped, and over by the drawing of the thumb, there's an inexplicable black area): https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34682473/Comic%207%20Final.png

2. Is it inappropriate to continue to request surrogate exporters from this forum? I can't find a solution to my problem, and I'm feeling kind of stuck otherwise. But I also don't want to continue asking the forum to help me export if it's against policy or courtesy or something.

..had the same issues with previous inkscape version (48.2), seems some of these bugs are fixed in actual development builds. since i am using inkscape on ubuntu 11.04, i just can provide the ppa:inkscape.dev/trunk (also see here: https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/trunk).

here is the rendered frame:

I don't think it's against any rules, but in case the moderator says it is you can always PM me and i'll convert it for you. I did convert this one but someone beat me to the post!
frankly it's not the conversion but the uploading that takes longer anyway so it's really no big deal.
Your mind is what you think it is.

ha1floss -- thanks so much for the upload.

P. Tayso -- great idea. I'll get GIMP and see if it won't solve my issue.

druban -- really appreciate it. i'll PM in the future if GIMP isn't working.

Thanks, all!
