Hi,
I've discovered that saving my inkscape using the via cairo as ps option preserves my gradients. That's great. How do I access this option through the command line? I have a number of inkscape files that I want to keep in inkscape format, but I want to run a script that reads each file and saves as ps via cairo. I've tried the export-ps option but that doesn't seem to use the cairo renderer because the gradients get lost.
Thanks
Save via cairo as ps through command line?

I know nothing about using Inkscape from the command line, but you might like to look at the docs (or even use ) svg2pdf (it uses Cairo also)

Thanks for the suggestion microUgly,
Unfortunately, my search for an Ubuntu version of svg2pdf has come up empty. I've downloaded the svg2pdf source code from ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/, but my config tells me I need libsvg-cairo. I can't seem to find that library for Ubuntu.
Any suggestions anyone?

Use the devel version. It uses cairo ps exporter everywhere now.
