Hi.
I'm trying produce a .pdf of one page, that has a .jpg (photo, 56kb) embedded, and some text and drawings around it - No problem in producing it, but the file size is off the scale -> 10 MB for a 56kb jpg plus some text and lines? (At first the photo was bigger, but i upped the compression (of the jpg), because the picture quality didnt matter anyways - yet that had no impact on the file-size(of the pdf))
I already figured from the forum that there is no way to adjust the dpi of the pdf, but that was always defended by the contents being vector anyway....
Is it something about a jpg that bloats the pdf in that way? Or do i miss some feature?
Thanks!
André
[solved] .pdf File Size Inflation with embedded .jpg
Re: .pdf File Size Inflation with embedded .jpg
I'm not sure what happens to a JPG when saved into a PDF. It's possible it's being converted to a PNG or a BMP--but that still shouldn't make the file 10MB. Are you able to share the PDF with us?

Wonderfully fast answer, thanks.
I noticed my version was still .45, and updated to .46, my problem is gone now, and i bask in the new features
