I'm using an apple magic mouse on OS X 10.8.5. I find that I can pan around the document just fine, but when I use ctrl+drag to zoom in or out it goes much too quickly. I frequently end up zoomed so far out I can't see my image at all. The feature is almost unusable for me.
I have tried playing with the inkscape settings under scrolling, but they don't seem to help the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there other settings I might try adjusting? I don't have this problem on my windows machine with a generic scroll mouse.
Trouble zooming with apple magic mouse on OSX
Re: Trouble zooming with apple magic mouse on OSX
Yeah, same OSX configuration here, and scrolling is less than smooth also.
Using the zoom tool is more controllable for me.
I would think there should be a preference for zoom speed but there is not.
There are a lot of discussions in the Apple forums regarding the Magic Mouse and it's shortcomings.
So, it could at least partially be Apples fault too.
