I would like to convert a. jpg file to. dxf. The problem is when the. jpg file is converted the lines are drawn on both sides of the object. For example, if i import a simple line drawing on an apple, the. converted. dxf drawing draws both the inner and outter traces of the apple object lines. I dont want this. I just want a simple single line converted .dxf drawing of the apple.
I can attach example pictures if need be.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Converting. jpg files to? dxf help!!
Hello:
I understand that you are using the trace bitmap feature that comes with Inkscape.
That functionality is hard to find. Several times the same problem has been asked in this forum. Try to do a search with like : trace single line.
There is not possible to do this automatically inside of Inkscape.
There is not possible to do this automatically outside of Inkscape. There are extern programs that do this job, but the result it's not optimal. I knew one named WinTopo, but I don't know if it is still updated.
Again, please try to do a search in the forum.
