How to assign random colour from palette?

Postby turquoise » Sat Mar 20, 2010 12:37 am

hi,
Some parts of Inkscape allow colours to be randomized. Is there any way to get a randomized colour but only of the colours in the current palette? For example if there are only ten colours in the current palette only one of those ten can be chosen.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, before your question, I'd never heard of such a feature in Inkscape. But I did some brief looking around, and found Extensions menu > Color > Randomize. I don't know if it does exactly what you want? If not, it may be that you'd have to write a script or something.
