[solved] Aligning objects
[solved] Aligning objects
How do you align objects so that when you have object A and object B you align the left side of object A with the right side of object B so that they end up side by side?

2 ways,
1. Open the align dialog, Change the relative too box to be first selected, then select B, select A (with shift held down so both are selected) and then press the fifth button on the top row (little yellow box with 4 blue ones to the right of it.
2. put A slightly overlapping on the right hand side of B, press remove overlaps with the spin boxes at the default 0, should move A to the right till its only just touching.

Thanks so very much. Everytime that I would try to align something it would end up on top of it. So essentially you have to set the preference in the align dialog BEFORE you do what you want.

Exactly, it took me a couple of trys to work out too, not the most obvious behaviour.
